Due Diligence Services
When working
online, you need to conduct due diligence from time-to-
time. I provide diligence services designed to help you
flush out people who might not have your best interests
at heart.
Making money online is often about forming
the right relationships. The problem is each
relationship often involves taking a certain leap of
faith that the other party is legitimate. The purpose
of conducting due diligence is to identify and
eliminate scam artists trying to take advantage of you.
This can be a real challenge on the web considering
other parties can be in other countries, but the
process of due diligence usually shakes out the riff
raff.
What is Due Diligence?
Due diligence is simple the process of
looking into the party you are considering doing
business with to ascertain whether there is anything
you should be concerned about. For instance, background
checks are a form of due diligence. If one reveals the
party you are about to go into business with has been
convicted of fraud before, you might not want to move
forward with the relationship!
Due Diligence Process
The due diligence process depends almost
entirely on the proposed relationships. If it is
dependent upon an individual, then looking into that
person's history and finances is often a smart move. If
the proposed relationship is between businesses, then a
review of their performance in other relationships is
looked at, their legal history is examined and due
diligence is done on whether they have their
intellectual property in order. Obviously, each
situation is different, but the basic idea is to try to
pick off any and all potential problems before entering
into a contractual agreement.
100 Percent Success?
Does due diligence flush out every possible
scam artist that you might run into? The truth is it
does not. There is always someone out there who might
be able to hide their questionable attributes. Most
will not. Due diligence can eliminate 90 percent or
more, which is usually more than enough to save you
from a disaster.
